Carlo ALOISIO da Vasto (Vasto April 13, 1892-Rome November 21,
1971). Has participated in many shows, biennial, quadrennial
international exhibitions, staff and organizations from posthumously on
him.
In 1908 at the age of sixteen he exhibited for the first time,
then left his family from Vasto to come to Rome where in 1927 he
married Elizabeth Mayo, sculptor, a pupil of Vincenzo Groan.
Painter, engraver, illustrator, designer of Applied Art critic
and writer. In 1910 he began his career as woodcuts, collaborating
periodicals "The Magazine of Today," The News, The Romance of Small.
Ended World War I released an album of twelve "Woodcuts suggested by
the war." In later years he worked as an illustrator for "We and the
World", "Emporium," "Satan Beffa," "Boys of Italy", "Heart of Gold",
"Corriere dei Piccoli" and "Sunday Magazine" Carrabba and publishers,
Mondadori, Trevisani, Maffei and Berlutti. He holds many personal
Lausanne, New York, Buenos Aires; exhibiting at the International
Contemporary Engraving in Florence (1927), to international incision in
Los Angeles (1930-1932), to monsters of engraving (1931) and the
Exhibition> Artistic Drawing the Circle (1935) in Rome. In 1923 at
Monza at the International Exhibition of art decorated with tapestries
on his plan realizate weaver Aquilani. He exhibited at the Rome
Quadrennial.
Creator and compiler of the 'Almanac of Artists. The True Giotto
"which is published in the years 1930-31-32-33. In 1935 he is tasked to
build and outfit the Modern Section of the Museum of Rome. Later he
became director and curator of the museum and director of the Palazzo
delle Esposizioni and the Municipal Gallery of Modern Art, for which
purchase works of Socrates, Trombadorei, Dong, Scipione Mafai, Melli
and other artists.
In 1950 he proposed to the City of Rome and secures the transfer
of the Museum Gallery in its present location d Palazzo Braschi. Cured
himself the direction of the restoration of the Palace and the
refurbishment of museum staff, documented and artistic.
