SALVATORE MELI, (Comiso 1929)

He lives and works in Rome.
It 'was a teacher in the School of the State Art Ceramics of Civita Castellana (RM) and most recently owner of the Special Course "Various Techniques of Sculpture" at the Art Accademy of Rome.

He has won numerous awards: 1951, Comiso Prize for Sculpture, 1952, National Prize of Ceramics, Messina, 1953, first prize (ex aequo) Faenza and First Prize in the national exhibition of ceramics in Vicenza, 1956, second prize National Cup d 'Silver' from the Ministry of Posts, Cajetan Ballerdini Award 1957, Faenza.

He participated in 1953 at international exhibitions of ceramics in Spoleto, Rome, Stockholm, and until 1955, the Triennial of Milan, the exhibition overseas in Naples, exhibitions National Albisola Marina di Vicenza, S. Paulo, Brazil, Australia and Monaco.

He held a personal Rome, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, London, Dublin, Prague, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Geneva, Ragusa, Messina, Fiuggi.
While continuing to participate in exhibitions and organizing exhibitions, mainly on business in the creation of creative works of art for public and private buildings.
